The sister kit to their A-1H is Tamiya's A-1J Skyraider, and it's equally nice. It's almost identical to the Navy version — only the seat, antennae fit and tailwheel are noticeably different. The kit is actually missing the base of the whip antenna just below the canopy on the port side of the fuselage, so I added that. Fit and detail are very good, and the model is finished using my usual methods. I experimented with brush-painted oils for the exhaust streaking, but it didn't turn out satisfactorily. I really need a double-action airbrush! The kit decals are quite thick, but go down nicely. I finished this kit in Autumn 2004.
