Built at the same time as my A-4F is this Hasegawa A-4C. Compared with the later model Skyhawk, this version comes with a new fuselage and new intakes. I built this straight from the box adding six Mk.81 bombs and MER from a Hasegawa weapon set. I used the kit decals, and, as with the A-4F, they don't go round the tanks very well. Other than that, they're great, and I particularly like the quality of the gold colour. The model is painted entirely in Humbrol enamels. I've attached the wing slats in the up position (which took a fair amount of work; the kit is very much designed to have them dropped only), and this is inaccurate — they were always down when the aircraft was on the ground. However, they could be pinned in the up position (as on the Blue Angles Skyhawks), so it's not impossible (see my accuracy disclaimer on the Model Index page!). This model was built in the Spring of 2002.
