This Hasegawa AU-1 Corsair was built alongside my F4U-5N, and is essentially the same kit with a modified fuselage and some new parts to build the dedicated attack version of the Corsair. The same comments apply as for the night-fighter version, but a new gunsight needs to be constructed and the radar screen removed from the instrument panel. The tyres are, once again, the rather flat-looking True Details resin examples. The finish is Humbrol enamel and the clear coat is Pollyscale flat mixed with satin. The kit decals were good and I used Mr Hobby Mr Mark Softer to settle them down.
