This is the Tamiya F-51D Mustang built straight from the box. A nice kit which went together very easily. This was my first natural metal finish, and in my ignorance I didn't bother paying much attention to the seams. Nevertheless, the Humbrol Polished Aluminium Metalcote paint I used was remarkably forgiving and put up with an oil wash laid straight on the paint. I was still into over-the-top weathering at this point, so it's a lot dirtier than I would like if building it now. This kit was built in the Spring of 1996, just before my A-levels...
