Right, a break from the pink Gulf War I aircraft: the black Lockheed TR-1A. This is Italeri's kit, which I bought because I thought such a large aircraft in 1/48 was very cool. No aftermarket used on this one — everything is from the kit. It has raised panel lines, which at the time I didn't mind too much, but now I would rescribe. This was a nice kit but I built it in a sloppy manner. The photos don't show it too well, but a lot of the joints (mainly the pod-to-wing join) are quite rough. Finish is acrylic black with no clear coat. The plane is missing its periscope which got knocked off at some time in the last ten years, never to be seen again... This kit was built in the Summer of 1995.
